"The Association of Towns established the Certified Town Official (CTO) program in 2014 at the request of its membership as an official acknowledgement of their training efforts. The CTO program is designed to hone management and leadership skills, expand town officials' knowledge and capabilities, and recognize town officials who have committed themselves to continuing education opportunities. With the requirement of 30 credit hours spread across 10 offices/subject areas, the program provides an overview of all major town operations and a familiarity of each office's tasks and responsibilities. Participants pursue certification for a host of personal and professional reasons. Currently, there are more than 650 officials in the CTO program. Supervisor Keding is the 6th town official in the state to achieve certification. Supervisor Keding will be the 1st Supervisor in the State of New York to achieve this certification. The Association of Towns would like to commend Jason for his hard work and commitment to public service."
At the March 7, 2018 Town Board Meeting, Supervisor Keding was presented with awards by Erie County government officials and the Western New York Republican Party.
